Our band was originally formed in 2020 as The Twang Bandits (just in time to be put on hold with Covid). After the untimely death of one of our key members at the end of 2023, we took a brief hiatus and reformed as Slim & The Pickups in early 2024. Our current line-up of original and new members includes:
- Tony Matthews (aka Slim): Vocals and guitar
- Catherine Shreve (aka Cat): Vocals
- Jim McCrae: Guitar and lap steel guitar
- Joe Galas (aka Elbow Joe): Keyboard
- Matt Velkey (aka Dr. Velvet): Bass, harmonica, and vocals
- Ana Mitchell: Percussion
